Supervisor #2 Adam Jensen
Adam Jensen Announces Candidacy for District 2 Supervisor
Pledges to bring more fiscal responsibility and create business growth in the county
Linn County- August 17, 2016, Adam Jensen of Cedar Rapids was nominated for Linn County District 2 supervisor by a reconvened Linn County Convention on August 13, 2016. Adam submitted his official documents to the Auditor to be placed on the ballot for the general election on November 8th.
“I am very pleased to accept this nomination after my return from service to our country as a medic in the Army. I believe that with my background in business, my military experience and the achievement of attaining my MBA, that I have the ability to carry out a more fiscally-sound agenda. The current plan, implemented by our Democrat-led Board of Supervisors is irresponsible use of dollars taken from hard-working tax-payers.”
“I believe we need to quit handing a blank check to our elected officials. They have had free reign the last few years to spend everyone’s hard-earned money on projects that have not been in the best interest of Linn County. Also, instead of reducing the number of supervisors, we should return to a part-time position, as was the intent of the referendum for change of government. We need to reduce the cost yet keep the representation for all parts of the county. We need to stop lining the pockets of those spend your money freely.”
Adam grew up in Cedar Rapids and was a 2001 Graduate of Xavier High School. He holds a B.A. in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Augustana College 2005 and a MBA from UMUC Maryland, May 2016. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 2014 and is currently the 2nd and 3rd shift Materials Supervisor for Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids.
